Hulda Guzmán, born in 1984, is a Dominican artist who paints colourful landscapes, filled with humans, animals, and magical beings. Her modernist style is inspired by Gauguin and Matisse, and explores the tropical nature that surround her. After creating a work for a passed exhibition at MASP, which now belongs to the museum’s collection, Guzmán’s work is going to be further explored in this exhibition.
